Dhaka Modest Fashion Expo 2026 was featured by Business Inspection BD following the successful conclusion of its inaugural edition in Dhaka. The coverage highlighted DMFE’s role as Bangladesh’s first structured platform dedicated to the modest fashion and lifestyle economy, bringing together fashion, entrepreneurship, policy dialogue, culture, and business under one roof. Held at Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden on May 15–16, 2026, the two-day expo was officially inaugurated by Khandaker Abdul Muktadir, Minister of Industries, Government of Bangladesh, in the presence of Md. Saiful Islam, Chairman of BSCIC, senior government officials, ambassadors and diplomatic representatives from Indonesia, Brunei, and the Philippines, and leading industry stakeholders.

The presence of the Ministry of Industries reflected the government’s recognition of the modest fashion and halal lifestyle economy as an emerging area of strategic importance for Bangladesh. Through the expo, DMFE showcased how local fashion brands, SMEs, women entrepreneurs, designers, and lifestyle businesses can contribute to industrial growth, export diversification, creative entrepreneurship, and Bangladesh’s positioning in the global halal market. The Business Inspection BD feature further emphasized key moments from the event, including industry dialogue sessions, runway showcases, brand exhibitions, buyer-seller engagement, cultural presentations, and networking opportunities, strengthening DMFE’s visibility as a platform for business growth, investment conversations, and market access.
