Dhaka Modest Fashion Expo 2026 featured The Prestige Magazine as its Knowledge & Policy Partner, bringing strategic depth to the event through a series of high-level panel discussions on Bangladesh’s role in the global halal economy and modest lifestyle market. With the global halal economy valued at approximately $3 trillion, the discussions explored how Bangladesh can build a credible halal identity, strengthen branding, improve certification trust, and create stronger pathways for international market access. The first panel brought together H.E. Ashud Ahmed, Former Ambassador of Bangladesh to Qatar and Greece; Nahian Rahman, Head of Business Development, BIDA; Imran Hassan, Secretary General of BROA; and Tariqul Islam, Founder & Managing Director of Farmers Market Asia, focusing on what Bangladesh must do differently to earn global trust in the halal economy.
The second discussion examined the institutional foundations needed to translate Bangladesh’s halal economy ambition into reality. The panel included Md. Hafizur Rahman, Former Additional Secretary, Government of Bangladesh and Former Administrator of FBCCI; Barrister Ehsan Abdullah Siddiq, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of Bangladesh; Brig Gen A N M Manzoorul Haque Mazumder, CEO of Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden; Hanium Maria Chowdhury, Founder and CEO of Tahoor; and Erad Kawsar, Executive Director of Build Bangladesh. The conversation addressed the policy, legal, standards, and institutional frameworks that will shape Bangladesh’s ability to compete in the global halal and modest lifestyle economy. Through this partnership, The Prestige Magazine helped position DMFE 2026 as more than a fashion expo — establishing it as Bangladesh’s first structured platform for policy dialogue, market-building, entrepreneurship, and action within the modest fashion and halal lifestyle economy.
